LE BASI DI PARTENZA: UN LESSICO COMUNE

Ci siamo quasi. Ultime riletture alla trascrizione dell'intervista a Nicola Favini e poi pubblichiamo. Ma prima ho pensato che sia utile riportare le definizioni (tutte tratte da wikipedia) di alcuni termini che saranno spesso usati nel blog.

BUSINESS COLLABORATION (Wikipedia)


Collaboration is working with each other to do a task and to achieve shared goals by sharing knowledge, learning and building consensus.  These methods specifically aim to increase the success of teams as they engage in collaborative problem solving.  It is a way of coordinating different ideas from numerous people to generate a wide variety of knowledge.

The recent improvement in technology has provided the world with high speed internet, wireless connection, and web-based collaboration tools like blogs, and wikis, and has as such created a "mass collaboration." People from all over the world are efficiently able to communicate and share ideas through the internet, or even conferences, without any geographical barriers.

The power of social networks it beginning to permeate into business culture where many collaborative uses are being found including file sharing and knowledge transfer, istant messaging, audio-video conference.

Collaboration encompass both asynchronous and synchronous methods of communication.

GAMIFICATION (Wikipedia)


Is the use of game thinking and game mechanics in non-game contexts to engage users in solving problems.

Is used in applications and processes to improve user engagement, return on investment, data quality, timeliness, and learning.

TEAM BUILDING (Wikipedia)


Is a philosophy of job design in which employees are viewed as members of interdependent teams instead of as individual workers.

Refers to a wide range of activities, presented to businesses, schools, sports teams, religious or nonprofit organizations designed for improving team performance.

Team building is said to have benefits of self-development, positive communication, leadership skills and the ability to work closely together as a team to solve problems.

SOCIAL MEDIA (Wikipedia)


Social media refers to interaction among people in which they create, share, and/or exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks.

A group of internet based application web 2.0 that allow the creation and exchange of user-generated contents.

Social-media technologies take on many different forms including magazines, Internet forums, weblogs, social blogs, microblogging, wikis, social networks, podcasts, photographs or pictures, video, rating and social bookmarking. Technologies include blogging, picture-sharing, vlogs, wall-posting, music-sharing, crowdsourcing and voice over IP, to name a few. Social network aggregation can integrate many of the platforms in use.



MEETING AND CONVENTION (Wikipedia)


A convention, in the sense of a meeting, is a gathering of individuals who meet at an arranged place and time in order to discuss or engage in some common interest.

The most common conventions are based upon industry, profession, and fandom. Trade conventions typically focus on a particular industry or industry segment, and feature keynote speakers, vendor displays, and other information and activities of interest to the event organizers and attendees.

Professional conventions focus on issues of concern to the profession and advancements in the profession.
